Cindy had her last swim class today. She really loves the
water. I asked for and received copies of the reports that Cindy's
cardiologist sends over to her pediatrician. One of the reports
mentioned that Cindy has a patent foramen ovale. That was news
to me! The report was from when Cindy was 1.5 months old, maybe
her foramen ovale has closed by now. I will ask about this the
next time we visit Cindy's Cardiologist.

We got wonderful news from Cindy's echo today! Both of Cindy's VSD's
are closing. Her largest one was 7mm and is now only 1.5mm! Her
smallest VSD is "tiny" now. This means the surgeon will not have to
repair them!!!! The whole family is so excited for Cindy. She will still
need to have her PA band removed but our PC is hopeful the she will
not need a mid line incision. Her blood pressure is also down and she
has no re-coarctation of the aorta. She has been taken off all her diuretics
and only needs to take .7 of digitalis twice a day. Her cardiologist
will call us next week to give
us Cindy's surgery date. He is anxious to get her band removed
before it does any more damage to her pulmonary artery.

Cindy's Cardiologist called today. He told us that Cindy's
VSD's are not as small as they thought and they have put surgery off for
another six months and they will have to
split her sternum. We also found out that Cindy's Bicuspid
Aortic Valve is stenotic. She may need the Ross surgery someday. I don't like this roller coaster ride
we are on!
